Author

Roger Barr (he/him) is the author of eleven published books. His newest book, A Murder on the Hill: The Secret Life and Mysterious Death of Ruth Munson, was published in 2024 by Minnesota Historical Society Press and spent time on regional bestseller lists.

He is the author of the novel The Treasure Hunt, two collections of Bartholomew Christmas stories, an award-winning play, thirty-six short stories, and seven nonfiction books on subjects including the Vietnam War, Richard Nixon, Malcom X, and American cities. In 2021, his story “Puzzle Pieces” received the Hal Prize for short stories.

He lives in Saint Paul.
