Weekly Classes

  • This is an intro session to using SPNN resources and people must attend before taking any other classes at SPNN. In this class you will learn how you can utilize SPNN resources to create programs you then share with the community via our channels.

    When:

    • Every third Tuesday at 5pm

    • Every first Wednesday of the month at 5pm.

  • We have regular monthly in-person classes on editing with Adobe Premiere and our field gear-cameras, lights, and microphones.

    When:

    Every second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month from 6pm.

  • Have you always wanted to create engaging videos for YouTube, TikTok, or your social media channels, but didn't know where to start? This introductory Adobe Premiere Pro class is designed for you. We'll guide you step-by-step through the program's interface, essential tools, and basic workflow so you can confidently cut, add text, and export your first project. No prior experience is necessary—just the desire to learn and bring your ideas to life. Sign up now!

  • Learn the basics of the podcast studio so you can develop the fundamentals needed to record and save a podcast at the Saint Paul Neighborhood Network! This small-group class is designed to provide students with individualized attention and hands-on experience. This class is good for those who want to know where to begin with an idea for a show, as well as those generally passionate about the medium who want to learn about the aesthetics, storytelling, and technology of podcasting. This session runs from 6 - 8 p.m.

  • SPNN's Program team will collaborate with your local non-profit for specialized trainings for your members, constituents, or staff.

    We will customize training to fit your needs — it could be one workshop, a day long session, or a several part series. We work with both youth and adults.

    Previous custom trainings we have done are day-long PSA camps, multi-week podcasting workshops with teens, and storytelling workshops with adults.
