What is Set It Up?

Set It Up is a teen-produced TV show. It's also a creative and experimental space where participants can learn about and produce different forms of media, including music production, photography, and animation. It's a program where you can talk about and explore issues that are important to you. Set It Up is a great way to get to know new people and learn a new skill set while exploring your community. No experience is necessary.

Members attend two days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday) after school from 3:30pm-5:30pm,  and commit to participating for the remainder of the school year. To apply to be a Set It Up crew member, you must be a high school student (9th-12th grade), have a desire to learn more about media production, and an interest in making a positive change in your community. Crew members will receive a bus pass to get to and from SPNN, and snack is provided every day!

In Set It Up you will learn about many aspects of TV production—from show planning (writing scripts, making storyboards), to shooting, hosting an episode, and editing. Set It Up crew members also explore issues of interest to Saint Paul teens in their schools and communities. Please answer the following questions about your interests and experiences. These answers are used to evaluate who is accepted into the program. Don’t worry, no previous media experience is required!

All demographic questions are optional, and will not affect your selection as a Set It Up crewmember.
