Classes and Certifications

In order to use SPNN's equipment for a production, individuals must
1) become member of SPNN
2) obtain certification for the equipment and production areas you would like to use.  To become certified, you need to take the appropriate SPNN class(es) listed below.
3) create a program to share with the St. Paul community.

Prior to any other class, you must take “Intro to Community Media 101,"which is offered from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday evening of every month. For the most up to date class visit our calendar.

    Cameras and Light Kits

Take the two night Basic Camera class.  
This two night class is offered monthly on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.

You must first take the two night Basic Camera Class and then take the portable switcher class.         
The camera class is offered monthly and the switcher class is offered by appointment only.

Edit Room

Take our two night Basic Editing Class, Adobe Premiere CC 2018.
The Basic Editing class is offered the third Tuesday  and Wednesday of each month.

Obtain test out packet from the Access Staff. Take Quiz and schedule a walk through of the studio.
This class is offered by appointment only.
