All City Youth Film Showcase

On Saturday, October 25th youth from around the metro area gathered at the Walker Art Center for the Twin Cities Youth Media Network's All City Youth Film Showcase. Eighteen youth produced short films were screened, including three documentaries produced during SPNN Youth programs this summer. The showcase was curated by a team of youth producers from around the city, including Set It Up crewmember Camila Davila, who watched over 70 submissions to assemble the screening of documentary, experimental, animated, and narrative films.

The SPNN Youth produced documentaries screened were: We're Screwed (Youth Intern Program), The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: Gang Life in Saint Paul (Youth Intern Program), and Obama and Race: The Truth (Real Reality TV). Filmmakers Zac Morris, Hasani Harris, Jasmyn Turner, Frankie McNamara, and Eric Monyancha took the stage with other filmmakers to answer questions from fans after the screening.

Congrats to all the filmmakers!
