What we do:

SPNN Community Productions Department produces coverage of issues and events in St. Paul, and partners with a variety of organizations to create unique programming for Comcast viewers in St. Paul.

Our productions can be seen on Channel 19. We are a department of three staff producers who work with freelance contractors, interns and volunteers to produce over 20 hours of original programming each month.

This programming is a mix of Public Affairs, Current Events, Community events and forums, some sports and arts.

Our production decisions are guided by several things:

  • our city contract
  • our organization’s mission to be reflective of and responsive to the community
  • our desire to create relevent and informative programming of many kinds
  • our desire to build relationships with the many organizations and communities of St. Paul
  • the feedback, ideas, and opportunities we receive from local viewers.

Organizational videos
